Welcome and thank you for taking a look at my website. Not Your Average Young Actors is a place where children and young people can learn and participate within a safe, welcoming and hugely creative environment.
I believe that training in acting encourages children and young people to develop their confidence both on and off the stage or in front of the camera. They will be encouraged to stretch their imagination, improve their vocal capabilities, communication skills and cognitive learning. At NYA Young Actors, I strive to provide the highest standard of teaching to help each student develop their abilities, grow as individuals, and to reach the heights their talent allows.
I am professionally trained, enhanced DBS checked, safeguarding trained and operate under public liability insurance cover.

ONLINE LESSONS NOW AVAILABLE
Lessons are offered Monday to Friday after school (currently over ZOOM due to Covid-19) by regular weekly appointment. Lessons last for 30 minutes and students are expected to be prepared with notepad and pen and ready punctually to begin their lesson.
Occasionally, students may require additional lesson time (prep for audition, recording self-tapes etc) - this is available for all my students by prior arrangement.
New students are accepted following an initial meeting along with a parent or legal guardian. During this meeting the young student will be required to perform a short monologue or scene and discuss their needs and ambitions.
